It is what I experienced for more than two decades as a curriculum director of an elementary school simply because our teachers used the Honorable Charactersystem. Every elementary teacher used this system. Every elementary student knew what to expect. Every elementary parent knew what honorable characterhis/her child exhibited each week. This system worked. It worked because all the teachers in an entire elementary school got behind the idea speaking encouraging words, and noticing and ‘calling out’ the good they saw in their students.
